Choosing one of the HughesNet internet packages is definitely the way to go if you currently live in a rural area
and are tired of the slow speeds associated with your dial up internet (56kbps). There are
three HughesNet plans for residential customers to choose from.

UP-FRONT COSTS
Concerning up-front costs (aka, getting the system to your house and installed), HughesNet offers two
options: lease the equipment or purchase it outright. Both options require professional installation from
a certified HughesNet installer. This is to insure that your 24 month limited equipment warranty remains intact.

With the lease option the customer pays a $99 activation fee, though this is frequently partially or fully credited
back to the customer in the form of a mail-in rebate. The availability and amount of this rebate depends upon any current
HughesNet deals in effect. With the lease option, installation is completely free.
Customers choosing the HughesNet Lease Plan will pay a monthly $9.99 fee to lease the equipment.
With the HughesNet Purchase Plan, customers pay more up-front (though there are also larger mail-in rebates) and therefore have NO MONTHLY
RECURRING fees to lease the satellite dish and modem. The HughesNet Purchase Package option costs $199 for installation and an additional
$199 to purchase the equipment. But please note the significantly larger rebate: Customers choosing the Purchase Option receive a $199
mail-in rebate.
Regarding up-front costs, both HughesNet plans (the purchase and lease option) are attractively priced when compared to other satellite internet
providers and taking the substantial mail-in rebates into account. Please note: Other rebates may be available through your HughesNet Dealer -

HughesNet Internet Packages - Monthly Fees
There are three HughesNet Internet packages, each differing in their access speed and price. All are highly dependable and all
are significantly faster than dial-up internet. The "Basic" Plan features maximum download speeds of 1.0 mbps. This is about 20 times faster
than dial-up internet. The regular cost for the Basic plan is $59.99/month.
The other two plans are as follows. The Power 150 plan features maximum download speeds of 1.5 mbps (compare that to dial-up that is about .051 mpbs) and is
priced regularly at $79.99/month. And the fastest satellite internet
plan from HughesNet is normally priced at $109.99/month and offers
maximum download speeds of 2.0 mbps. This is about many times as fast as dial-up internet. The Power 200 Plan is twice as fast as the HughesNet
Basic Package.
