Under the 2009 Recovery and Reinvestment Act, HughesNet received a limited amount of funds to help subsidize the cost of
high speed internet service to those in the most rural locations in America. Under this
government high speed internet
program (Recovery Internet Act Program) qualifying HughesNet customers enjoyed great benefits. You can still take advantage of this program through the
WildBlue Recovery Act Program.

IMPORTANT!! This was a one-time allocation from Congress - meaning once these
recovery act internet funds are used up and awarded to eligible customers, there were no more
available. This government satellite internet is now closed!
